Doctor Egan is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Spring Dental Specialty in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Doctor Egan grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and then attended Roseman College of Dental Medicine in South Jordan, Utah.
Doctor Egan then spent six years in Buffalo, New York completing an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency during which he also earned his Medical Degree from the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine. He then completed a general surgery internship in New York working with various surgical specialty teams such as vascular, thoracic, gastrointestinal, and plastic surgery services. This extensive and unique combination of training helped prepare him for his work now as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Doctor Egan loves orthognathic jaw surgery, facial trauma surgery, full mouth “smile” rehabilitation utilizing complex bone grafting and dental implant techniques. He loves providing the best experience possible by utilizing his anesthesiology training to comfortably sedate patients in his office.
Throughout his training he has received many professional awards and accolades, most notably receiving national academic recognition as a two-time New York State research award winner and resident “Surgeon of the Year” during his formal training. Doctor Egan is an active member of numerous professional organizations including: American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, International Association of OMFS, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons.
Doctor Egan has been married to his childhood best friend and high school sweetheart for 13 years, and they have three beautiful children together. In his limited free time, Doctor Egan enjoys spending one-on-one time with each of his children, as well as exploring graphic design, filming and editing short video clips, creating unique Photoshop art, drawing, working on cars, and cooking extravagant meals. A fun fact about Doctor Egan is that if he could have any superpower, he would choose Telekinesis so he could assist himself in the operating room when necessary!
